Assessment and Marking

Shakespeare pupils can self-assess themselves on the key skills/targets being taught in each English and Maths lesson. They do this by grading themselves with a 1 - achieved, 2 - nearly achieved or 3 - not yet achieved. The teacher will also respond to the same grading so the children can assess their progress. The children are also given time in each lesson to reflex on their work using an editing pen (green) to respond by simple initialling or commenting to a teacher marking. Please see examples of marking below:
